Certificate in biography and social art, Center for Biography and Social Art, 2019
Qualifikationen:
I have a PhD in social psychology and have worked as a psychology professor since 2008, where I have incorporated biographical exercises into my courses and committee work. I have offered biography workshops at conferences from my home state of Pennsylvania to the Goetheanum and Egypt. During the coronavirus pandemic, I offered many workshops online via zoom, including as part of the Anthroposophical Society in America's Applied Anthroposophy Course. Much of this work has been in collaboration with Anne de Wild as part of the project that we call The Hummingbird Principle.
Erfahrung und Spezialisierung:
I specialize in group facilitation, particularly in creating a space of comfort and safety where the deeper significance of experiences can rise into awareness. I love incorporating folk and fairy tales into this work and tapping into their wellspring of wisdom. The goal of The Hummingbird Principle is to use biography work to meet the practical challenges of modern living. The modern world is full of big problems that can seem overwhelming. Through biography work, individuals can begin to see which parts of these big problems belong to them, and (importantly) which parts do not.
'Ich' auf dem Weg:
This is my first WBC conference. My major questions revolve around how biography work can serve the world around us – particularly the world outside of the anthroposophical community – in these times of global upheaval and uncertainty.
