Experience and Specialisation:
Born (1955) and raised in Zeist, near Utrecht in the centre of the Netherlands.
With my partner and colleague Rinke Visser, I live in a small medieval city upon the river Rhine: Wijk bij Duurstede, Holland.
Basic and secondary education in Waldorf School Zeist. (1961-1973)
After 1 year work experience abroad (4 different jobs in England): Studied Career Guidance and HR-management (graduated 1978, College Man & Work, Tilburg, Holland).
Career
• Trainer for social skills in management development programs at Dutch telecom company (1978-1982)
• Staffmember in Prof. dr. Lievegoed’s team for adult education at Vrije Hogeschool, Driebergen, (1982-1995).
• 1991 co-Founder Instituut voor Biografiek, fundamental education and training for Biographical Coaching + Consulting.
• 1994-2000 Biographical Counselling in Arta, program for addicted, Zeist, Holland.
• 1995 Owner/Director 3Consult, Consultancy for development of Man, Work and Organisation.
Within 3Consult I developped 3 different roles and positions to serve in organisations and work in private practise:
1. Dialoguepartner+coach for individual cliënts with biographical and vocational questions;
2. Consultant/Organisationcoach for management and co-workers in OD-projects;
3. Teamcoach/trainer/teacher for teambuilding and scholing biographical + social skills.
• Carrying member of the bianual Worldwide Conference for Biography, from start 1987 untill now
• 2000-2012 Boardmember of Lievegoed-caregroup, (clinic and programs for psychiatry, addiction and social therapy);
• 2008-…. Boardmember Athena-group (14 lowergrade Waldorfschools)
• 2013-…. Trustee of the International Association for Social Development, ASD.
Besides some private clients and an open year course, I am currently pretty busy with training and teaching biography in the context of the Instituut voor Biografiek in China and Hungary.
My most challenging question currently is: how to encourage and enable students to explore, how they can apply what they gained from our trainings, in their specific context.
