Anyone who deals with people has to deal with biographies.
We understand biographies as multidimensional works of art.
The individual, social and spiritual dimension of biography are the three major themes of our training.
In theory and practice, we teach and practice Conversation-oriented Biography Work together with our participants over a period of three years. All seminars offer a varied mixture of short lectures, conversations and diverse creative exercises. In addition, participants receive detailed text, image and sound materials for further study.
Goals of the training:
Personal competence
An unprejudiced and compassionate attitude towards oneself and others is crucial for working as a biographical consultant. We encourage and support the development of this attitude and the unfolding of an individual authentic working style. Throughout the training, participants examine their own biography from different perspectives and practice self-reflection and process reflection.
Meeting and relationship skills
Conversation-oriented biography work takes place in interpersonal space. For this space to develop, it is necessary for biography consultants to be able to establish, maintain and end a trustful working relationship. For this they need special skills in contact and communication. These skills are continuously practiced and cultivated during the training.
Professional-methodical competence
The basics of a spiritual study of man, we teach on the basis of the insights of Rudolf Steiner, Viktor Frankl, Bernard Lievegoed, Gudrun Burkhard and others. Essential contents are also insights and working methods in encounter, conversation and process design, as developed and made usable for practice by Martin Buber, Coenrad van Houten, Ron Kurtz and others.
Geschichte
In 1997 Gudrun Burkhard asked Karl-Heinz Finke if he wanted to continue the courses she had held in Germany, in 1998 Karl-Heinz Finke started his first Training in Berlin. In 2018 Karl-Heinz asked us if we wanted to continue his German Training and we Rita Weber-Wied, Jürgen Brau and Gemma Priess thankfully agreed.
